On the morning of May 7th, the swimming competition of the 31st Shanghai University of Finance and Economics Sports Games was successfully held at the Wuchuan Swimming Pool. This competition consists of many items including freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and relay events (42 events in total). Nearly 200 teachers and students signed up to participate in this competitive event.
Under the guidance of the responsible teachers and volunteers, the contestants and spectators entered the venue in an orderly manner.
The competition having begun, the contestants were engaged in intense competitions. The competition was very fierce. The audience was in high spirits and the referees carefully observed the contestants in their positions to ensure accurate record and maintain the impartiality of the competition. After the tense competition, the referees counted and publicized the scores and rankings. Finally, the competition came to a successful conclusion.
Although the competition lasted only a short morning, this swimming competition significantly enhanced the confidence and competitive awareness of students in Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. On the one hand, contestants felt the joy of victory and the setbacks of failure in the competition. In the future, they can have the courage to face challenges. On the other hand, the audience also felt the charm of competition and became more interested in sports. Furthermore, this competition helps to promote sports ethics and spirit, playing a supportive and guiding role in sports education. Therefore, this swimming competition is not only a competitive activity, but also a reflection of the spirit of SUFE students.
