On the afternoon of May 23, 2023, all teachers of the Department of Physical Education, master's degree students in sports operation and management, and all interns of Shanghai Institute of Sport held a paper sharing and learning meeting in the 204 conference room, which was chaired by Mr. Lu Jidong of the Department of Physical Education. The conference invited Professor Wang Yuanyuan of the Department of Physical Education to share her doctoral dissertation Research on the Non-market Value of Olympic Gold Medals and Its Influencing Factors.

In the process of the comprehensive construction of China's sports power, teacher Wang Yuanyuan paid attention to the value of high-level competitive sports achievements represented by Olympic gold medals to people. Taking Shanghai residents as the research object, taking the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games as an example, Professor Wang's research used the basic principles of CVM conditional value evaluation method to design a questionnaire, and calculated the payment amount of the non-market value of Olympic gold medals by constructing a logistic regression model and an interval regression model. It analyzes the influencing factors of residents' willingness to pay for the non-market value of Olympic gold medals.

Teacher Wang's emotional report sharing won a round of applause. In the Q&A session after the sharing, the teachers of the Department of Physical Education also put forward their own ideas and provided many effective suggestions for the improvement of the paper and further research space.

This thesis report is also an opportunity for academic exchanges, which opens up another understanding of Olympic gold medals and yields great results.
