On June 10, 2023, the opening ceremony of the Industrial Bank Cup Shanghai City Amateur League -Yangpu District University League Series and taekwondo competition was successfully held at the Sports Center of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology.
Under the leadership of coach Yin Zhimeng, the team members adhered to the spirit of patience and perseverance, winning a total of 3 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 3 bronze medals.

In the first men's -58kg competition, Fu Hao, a freshman from the School of Finance, won two consecutive games with his superb leg skill. In the final, he defeated his opponent 15:0 in the first game of the final to win the division. In addition, Fu Hao also won the title of excellent athlete.

Liu Baoer, a junior student in the School of Economics, gave full play to her personal strength in the semifinals and finals of the women's -53kg competition. She won the competition with a score of 2:0 to win the championship of this division.

In the men's -87kg final, Wang Ziyang, a sophomore in the School of Mathematics, fought hard to catch up after losing the first game, winning two consecutive games and finally winning the gold medal.

Guo Jiayuan, a freshman in the College of Business, did not flinch against opponent who was one division older than her, winning the women's -73kg semifinals with a score of 2:0. She was undaunted in the final to face a strong opponent, daring to fight and win a silver medal.

Huang Yuhao, a sophomore in the School of Finance, defeated his opponent in two consecutive sets in the semifinals of the men's -80kg competition, and still tried his best to win a silver medal in the final.

Yang Shubo, a freshman from the School of Information Management and Engineering, Zhu Tongxin, a sophomore from the School of Accountancy, and Zhu Shengqing, a freshman from the College of Business. Although the three students lost to their opponents in the semifinals, they dared to fight tenaciously, winning the third place in women's -57kg and men's -54kg respectively.



The members of the SUFE taekwondo team showed their strong strength and tenacious fighting spirit in this competition, winnning great honors for the school.
