In order to provide students with a diversified learning experience, our school invited Mr. Hou Yao, Latin dance champion of China Sports Dance Professional Group, to bring a wonderful sports dance class to students in the gymnasium of Guoding Road Campus.
About Hou Yao:
He is a member of the national team of the China Dance Sport Federation and the champion of the Latin Dance Professional Dance Group of the National Championship of the China Dance Sport Federation for five consecutive years.
In March 2018, Hou Yao and Zhuang Ting won the second place in Italy, the first stop of the World Professional Latin Dance Super Grand Prix.
In May 2019, Hou Yao and Zhuang Ting won the Latin dance champion of the professional group of the China Sports Dance Open Series (Guangzhou Station).
After a short exchange of ideas, the open class officially began, and after a short period of warm-up, teacher Hou Yao explained the history, characteristics and movement requirements of Latin dance to the students. Then, Mr. Hou Yao gave hands-on demonstration and professional guidance to the students in terms of basic dance steps and Latin dance postures. Everyone gradually corrected and improved their dance postures through practice and imitation.
This successful sports dance open class allowed students to appreciate the style of Latin dance champions, laying a foundation for further improving students' self-sports ability.
