On 25th-26th November, the 8th Shanghai Intelligence Games, co-sponsored by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and Shanghai Municipal Sports Bureau, was held in our university. This year's games were co-hosted by Shanghai Municipal Student Activity Management Centre, Shanghai University Students' Sports Association, Shanghai Middle School Students' Sports Association, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, and Shanghai Chess and Chess Sports Management Centre.
As the most important intellectual sports event for students in Shanghai, there were about 265 schools with nearly 2600 players participating in this competition, which set up six major events, namely Go, Xiangqi, Chess, Checkers, Backgammon and Bridge, covering primary schools, middle schools and colleges.
Wonderful Moments
In this sports meeting, our students performed well, the men's individual in Weiqi won the champion and runner-up, and won the third place in the mixed group. The men's individual in Xiangqi won the second place, the fifth place in the mixed group and the fifth place in the mixed group in the bridge project. Among them, Zhao Jiannan and Yu Ruixi won the gold and silver medals in Go men's individual group, and the team of Li Zhiran, Wu Yuanhao and Xu Yutong won the bronze medal in Go mixed group. Wei Yechao won the silver medal in Xiangqi men's individual group and the combination of Luo Xinlei, Tian Liang and Ma Mengqi won the fifth place in Xiangqi mixed group. Besides, Chen Yunlin, Xu Hongyi, Bao Zhiyun, Lin Zihan and Pan Chujia won the fifth place in Bridge Mixed Team.
