The 29th "Yingshi Cup" National University Go Championship concluded successfully on July 29th at Sichuan University. This competition brought together 150 university students from 35 universities, including Peking University, Tsinghua University, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Zhejiang University, and Sichuan University.
Our university sent a total of 6 students to compete in this tournament. After three days of intense competition, Zhao Jiannan from the School of Public Economics and Administration emerged as the champion in the men's amateur category. Han Yizhou and Chen Zijian from the College of Business finished third and fourth, respectively. In the men's professional category, Han Yizhou, Chen Zijian and Yu Ruixi from the School of Accountancy secured a gold medal for our university in the men's team event.
In the women's category, Chu Ke'er from the College of Business won the individual championship, thereby bringing home our third gold medal!
Our athletes displayed composure and determination on the field! They highlighted the unique charm of intellectual sports. We expect that SUFE Go team can continue their excellent performance and achieve even more remarkable results!
