On the afternoon of November 27th, the 2022 One Ball Tennis Grand Prix was successfully completed at the Qizhong Tennis Centre. After nine rounds of competitions, Zhao Xinyao from Shanghai defeated Wang Chen in the final to win the championship.
Zhao Xinyao entered SUFE in September 2012. She studied in the School of Accountancy for her bachelor's degree and the College of Business for her master's degree in sports management. Zhao Xinyao is also known as "Sister Na" by her fans because she is a fellow villager with Li Na, a well-known tennis player.
Zhao Xinyao made great achievements in the competitions. She is the winner of the Women's Group B Singles Championship in 2013, the Shanghai University Tennis Championship in 2013, and won the Women's Group B Team Championship in the 2015 China University Tennis League Match.
Zhao Xinyao is also outstanding academically. She won the first prize of the People's Scholarship of SUFE for four consecutive years from 2013 to 2016 and the national scholarship in the 2012-2013 academic year. In 2016, she was awarded "the Excellent Graduate of Shanghai" and qualified for postgraduate exemption from the College of Business. In July 2018, she received a master's degree from the College of Business. Now she is working in Ping An Asset Management Co., Ltd.
Talking about her time at SUFE, Zhao Xinyao said," In my six years at SUFE, my alma mater has taught me to be of good character and enhance my academic knowledge. I am proud to be a member of SUFE. I sincerely hope that SUFE sports will continue to flourish, absorbing more sports talents and strive for outstanding sports achievements." At the same time, she also sent her best wishes to the younger students:" I hope you will actively participate in sports in their spare time and cultivate the spirit of perseverance!"
