The 3rd China Collegiate Chinese Chess Championship, hosted by the China Collegiate Sports Association, was successfully held on the Tiantian Chinese Chess APP and WeChat mini program platform from December 31st to January 2nd. The competition was held online, attracting 149 students from 37 universities in total. Our Chinese chess team won the mixed team championship, men's individual championship, women's individual championship and women's individual runner-up.
This competition consists of men's group, women's group and mixed team competitions. 5 chess players of our school team participated. Zhang Ruifeng from the School of Finance won ten consecutive victories in the 11 rounds of points round-robin system to lock the men's champion two rounds in advance. Dong Jiaqi and Dong Yu of the School of Law led all the way in the 7 rounds competitions, winning the championship and runner-up of the women's group. He Long and Zhao Wei of the College of Business won the 10th and 15th places in the men's group.
The mixed team results were calculated based on the best two male players and a female player in the individual competition, and our school won the gold medal by a large margin.
