Ding Hao defeated Yang Dingxin with han-moku and won the championship with a score of 2: 0. Ding Hao becomes the 23rd world champion in China and the first post-00s generation world champion in China.

Before the final, Ding Hao and Yang Dingxin were ranked fifth and third in the latest ranking respectively. The record of the official matches between the two sides was 6:6, which would be a close match. However, the first game was a one-sided situation. Ding Hao beat Yang Dingxin in the middle stage of the game with nearly perfect performance, achieving a good start in the first game of the triple games.
In the second game, the two sides exchanged black and white and Ding Hao took the lead. In the layout stage, Yang Dingxin started a fight in the lower right corner. The trick was a bit excessive. Ding Hao calmly responded and gradually gained an advantage.
Due to the unfavorable situation in the middle stage of the game, Yang Dingxin made a strong attack on the left, but his own chess also had many flaws. The scramble in the lower right corner became the final battle. Yang Dingxin seriously responded and the situation became increasingly complex. At the last moment of the game, Ding Hao made a mistake, but Yang Dingxin also immediately returned his mistake and missed the final opportunity to turn the table. Finally, Ding Hao won the championship with han-moku against Yang Dingxin.
Ding Hao, a student majoring in journalism in the School of Humanity of our university, has made good achievements since entering the university. In October 2021, he won the 17th Chess Cup championship. In December 2021, he won the first Grand Chess Player Competition and became the first Grand Chess Player. In November 2022, he won the championship of the Grand Chess Game. The LG Cup champion is Ding Hao's first world championship title.
